Speaking from personal experience, God has put pain in my life for a reason. Those times of trouble taught me to rely on God more, and to trust that His plan for my life was greater than my own. Layne Coleman: 14, Little Rock, AR The Church at Rock Creek and Little Rock Christian Academy, Little Rock, AR Jesus Never Changes! ” —Hebrews 13:8 When I was nine, my sixteen-year-old cousin died in a car accident.

When we present the gospel and talk about how Christ has changed us, it’s gonna make a lot more sense if the person has actually seen it with their own eyes. What does this mean? This means that when someone is getting made fun of, you stop it because they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). It also means that we don’t wound people by gossiping about them (James 4:11). Gossip is one of those things in our lives that we don’t easily recognize as wrong. The Bible tells us that God hates gossip.

And yet, Jesus did this with a willing heart. He loved us so much that He endured the torture and the pain of His death. No one else can ever love us as much as God does. And we can never love others as much as He loves them. But His standards should be our goal. We will never be perfect on this earth as Jesus was, but He died so that we might strive to be more like Him each day. Our duty as Christ followers is to bring glory to our Father. We do that by imitating Him, by being His reflection so others can see His majesty.
